Error

I have the SIMS setups and i have installed the applacation and the maual, when i click on sims net and it asks me for a connect.ini i dont have one!

Where can i get one from

You point it at the connect.ini file on your SIMS server/shared dir - usually something like s:\sims\connect.ini

Please can you give us more info about your site, and the setup, who is supporting you etc. ? It will make helping you easier. Are you responsible for SIMS in your school (?) ?

sorry i have found the .ini but does anyone know the username and password to log in to sims.net because the server isnt giving me any data to log in

Some more information is needed here, if this is an existing SIMS installation then nobody will be able to provide you with details you should have.

If it's a new one this might be possible depending upon whether you installed it yourself with fresh data or not.

Some more info please in order to help you.

Agreed, the company who manage your SIMS or provide your SIMS should have given you a username and password.

hi there

this is a new and fresh install of sims net with the server, i have loaded the server and there is no data what so ever

do you know where i can get log in data from in or out of the SIMS 2005 server?

I think you need to reply to Vikpaw's post further up before people here stop being too cautious to offer any real help. We are concerned about giving details to enable access children's data here.

having the setup files doesn't mean you are responsible for sims. it sounds very much like somebody who is fishing for information... the fact you mention sims 2005 sounds dodgy in itself.

Hi, please send me a private message and let me know which school you are at, and who supports you. It could be a local support team or a Local Authority team. Once we know your location and support circumstances, we can work out best how to assist you.
