SIMS Summer Release
Today as all teachers are in for our first day of School. We are finding that Class Teachers have a problem that bombs SIMS out as soon as they hit the Student Details Icon or try to open Student Details via the Focus menu.
They get Fault Code : 6967-7780-9000
StudentBrowserProcess - SIMS.Processes.ProcessUnavailableException
Clicking on the Search for Solution brings back nothing.
I have logged a call on Supportnet as critical but thought I would try here aswell.
If I log in to the same machines as a sims sysadmin everything is fine.
Any advice would be appreciated.
When you say you logon as a sims admin, do you mean it's still logged into the PC as the class teacher, but you use your sims username or are you logging them off the pc and logging on yourself. If the latter it could be related to windows permissions, though it's unlikely if they can get as far as opening SIMs.
It might be worth picking a user and removing all permissions and reapplying to see if that helps.
Also try all the usual - db diagnostics, validate memberships, update course memberships. I did my db diag today and found a whole host of errors / warnings i'd not noticed before.
VIK - I logged in as a SIMS admin (under the users windows login) and everything works. I am just running the DB diagnostics and will see what comes up.
How odd, perhaps do try the remove permission groups trick. Also, it might be worth removing the users folder that is under my sims documents and let it recreate. All longshots i might add, but worth a go.
