Help with Windows 7 & SIMS
I'm currently testing out Windows 7 on our domain and i have got round to installing SIMS on it. I'm having a problem when trying to install the client. Im getting:
"SIMS installer was unable to write to the SIMS applications shared directory supplied as S:\SIMS.
Do you wish to correct this?"
As far as i know, the permissions are ok and when installing SIMS on an XP environment it works without any problems.
I have had a look around here already and have found a thread about the SIMS directory having folders with strings of numbers as file names and deleting them but I dont have any of those in there.
Can anyone help?
I agree try the XP Virtual Mode, it should work under that.
Vitrual XP Mode this runs a copy of the XP kernel and supports all software so far that didn't work for me in Windows 7 but did in XP
Hope that helps
