This is a long shot but someone may know the amswer. We have just had our main SIMS server fall over and are restoring the backup onto a temporary alternative. SIMS is fine but when we try to log in to FMS i get
Exception EDBEngineError in module Finance.exe at 0007A2DE.
General SQL error.[Microsoft][SQL Native Client][SQL Server]Cannot roll back atomic. No transaction or savepoint of that name was found.
I've run the patch suggested by Capita without success, have reported this back to the support desk and am now waiting for them to get back to me .....and waiting........and waiting
Get yourself a SupportNet user\pass:
Look up KB78030. Tis to do with your staff not all having a hours\week filled in, go into SIMS .net, look at ALL staff and check they have something in the hours\weeks at least a zero.
I believe patch 1273 can also sort this.
patch 1273 is the one I've run and I can't find anything else relevant on supportnet - but I'll try looking at the staff hours
There's a report you can run "Atomic Error" as a first step to make sure none of your current staff have a blank.
We had this last week and it turned out to be an issue with a new Service Term being for 0 hours which wasn't picked up on the report.
There's a nice sql patch you can request (not sure why its called a patch though) which will accurately determine the issue (well it did for us) in your data.
