Surely SIMS should be on more powerful servers with newer OSes than those mentioned on here?
The SQL upgrade a couple of years back was an ideal time to get your finance departments to fund new servers and do a bit of futureproofing.
I'm sure everyone is running the full version of SQL....
Throwing RAM at express isn't going to get you far with it's 1GB limit.
I could allocate all 8 cores to it but I certainly feel based on the evidence that i'd only be covering up the problem rather than fixing it, which I'm not a fan of.
@vikpaw Wayne tells me that work on this is being done. He'll be in touch next week.
We have applied the update and so far all seems to be fine! *fingers crossed*
