Report for emergency details
I want to generate a report which outputs the following:
Pupil details (name, reg, address, primary contact number), their linked parents/guardians and their phone numbers.
However, it must be in an easy to read format - so not a giant malformed excel file with loads of text everywhere etc...
My plan was to use the RTF output with a template which has a pupil per page.
However, with my template, the number of pupils doesn't add up - I'm getting 529 instead of 541 which we have on roll.
So, I thought I'd do it using XML and XSLT instead. But the XML file from what I can tell is somewhat malformed. With new records being defined left right and center, for sub-records but with no differentiating aspects or nesting.
So, how do I do this, and get it displayed sensibly?
