I need to find a better way for SLT to check reports on SIMS, any ideas? We enter them directly into AM7 but when SLT check, the fields are read-only because they don't own the marksheet. Currently I have the far from ideal method of lending them my login which in itself is a security risk (and my password is rather hellish as it reaches into the most confusing corners of the keyboard so they still have trouble logging in. ;) ).
Any ideas how to fix this please? :)
I thought that if they had access to the mark sheet they would have the same access as anyone else. Have you set up a special template for them and inadvertently made the columns 'data review'?
I was with my boss when he tried and he was accessing the same sheet teachers had been using to enter their grades. I'm looking at it now but the columns aren't set to read only. For some reason SIMS locks them. :(
To edit marksheet data, they'll need to be in the Assessment Operator permissions group; teachers can only edit data in marksheets that they own (with the default Class Teacher permissions)
EDIT: of course you could create a custom group for them, enable the "Assessment Manager > Marksheet Data > Update (All)" permission in it and they should be good to go.
sims doesn't know to lock them so something is doing it, perhaps the data manager has locked the resultsets...?
