As I see it, Global Search and Site Search are the same thing.

To find the download link, you have to first find the 'News Item' that mentions the product, open up the news item, then look for the link.
I want Discover, but came here first :)

By the way - is this the latest version of Discover? I though there was a new version due by now?

Yep, Discover Autumn 2012 is the latest version. Make sure SIMS on on the same version though or data won;t transfer between the two systems.
