Conflicting Marks File

We have a strange error, when our SIMs manager scans the OMR sheets she sometimes gets conflicting marks. Now SIMs would normally save this to a file and allow her to sort it out later. But when she closes the dialog box it says unable to write file please contact support. We have tried to sort this out and now it is becoming a huge problem. We have been told there should either be an omr file or folder in the SIMs folder but there isn't one. We have re-imaged and re-installed SIMs but this has not fixed the problem.

Can anyone suggest anything we might be doing wrong?

Double check permissions or try as an admin user. It's probably going to try and create it if it doesn't exist and is failing. Are you on Windows 7?
