Sims.NET - SQL 2008 upgrade to SQL 2008 R2
Has anyone come across any problems moving from SQL 2008 to SQL 2008 R2? (I've had a search around support net and not found anything)
I'm in the process of moving Sims.NET to a new server running SQL 2008 R2 and I've come across two problems:
1. When re-attaching the DB I get warnings that some users could not be created, all the users have an apostrophe in their name which I guess causes the error but can't believe SQL can't handle this.
2. After attaching the DB to SQL 2008 R2 (came from a SQL 2008 server) all the passwords are lost/corrupt, having a look around Edugeek I've tried running the Sims stored procedures sims.db_p_install, sims.db_p_grant, sims.db_p_importusers but still nothing.

Go back to the old server, run sims.db_p_transfer_logins, do a backup, restore onto the new server.
Hopefully 2. is now solved. As for 1. are they on the same domain?

Thanks, will give that a try a little latter.
Both servers are on the same domain.
