Merging data from two cmis datasets
Hi,
We have an interesting situation at our school. The head wanted to move all years up one in June (Y9 - Y10 etc). The people here created a new dataset, timetable etc etc for the change. However, we have fallen foul of rules regarding attendance data, because the data ends at the end of may and starts again in June. They are insisting on reports for the complete school yar (Sept - July) for legal attendance issues.
Is there a way of merging the two datasets (for attendance only) so we can report on full (standard) academic year attendance using CMIS? Or perhaps reporting across two datasets?
I'd appreciate any pointers anyone can give.
Regards
Gary

Re: Merging data from two cmis datasets
Erm... sounds like good planning...
It isnt possible to report on attendance across datasets at present. Without using some fairly complex SQL scripts to 'attempt' to merge data I dont see how this can be done.
Perhaps Serco would be able to merge the data for you?
