Er, yeah - that really.
If they do like it, which bits? What does it do well / ok / poorly?
Is there anything currently broken and what are they like for response times? (Initial response, plus break/fix).

Lurkers from Corero - you're already coming here to do a demo, cheers.

25th June 2012, 05:38 PM #2 Interested to see how this goes, we are having it installed at the tail end of July.

25th June 2012, 05:42 PM #3 Our finance people started using this this financial year, and they haven't complained about it yet.
One annoyance - you have to have Outlook installed on every finance person's computer, in order to have it send emails.

25th June 2012, 05:49 PM #4 We had it installed Feb this year. Support is good from Corero, but from feedback no way to send documents as PDF natively, which is a bit of issue since suppliers block HTML attachment, which is the format R32000 sends for invoices etc.
It also (presuming its on an old codebase) invokes an Outlook Security Warning when the program sends documents to a group of suppliers, solved by using Click Yes from Context magic... A program is trying to send e-mail on your behalf. Bypass this message with ClickYes.

25th June 2012, 05:52 PM #5 Interesting to know, Thankyou.
Outlook is installed everywhere so that won't be a problem.
I assume you can tweak the outlook adm to stop the security warning?

25th June 2012, 06:52 PM #6 Hi Oktech, yes I believe you can also lower the settings through ADM office templates, although we decided not to globally do this on the user's PC.

25th June 2012, 09:09 PM #7 Our finance director had it at her last place and liked it. However she opted to buy PSFinancials for us here as she found that for the same price it just offered a better reporting package. Something she said was very handy when she was preparing for auditors/preparing end of year accounts/management accounts/vat returns etc.

25th June 2012, 10:20 PM #8 We looked at it but our finance lot preferred to go with SAGE 200. We were SIMS FMS originally. We converted to an academy on the 1st June, and the finance staff like some of the features of SAGE 200, but I think they still miss the functionality of FMS. I think this is just a preference as they have used FMS for years - I am sure after a few months FMS will be forgotten about.

26th June 2012, 05:25 PM #9 Having seen it (Resource 32000) today, it does look pretty good. It ticks all the boxes on Finance's wishlist and while there weren't squeaks of excitement, that's probably because they were one down. Questions (including our deliberately awkward ones) were answered fully and the person doing the demo had good product knowledge. Where the question was veering into IT the "technical bloke at main office knows, here's his details".
I brought up the lack of pdf generation for attachments (and why html attachments are an issue) and it is apparently something they're looking at.
In terms of feel as a company, I get the impression (and I have statements before witnesses) that easy and sensible user suggestions/requests get implemented quickly. Year-on-year they'll be slightly cheaper than FMS, but as a significant plus their consultants are directly employed by Corero.
So one down, a few more to go.
