I've not had to deploy a patch in SOLUS3 yet. Auto upgrade of SOLUS3 is set up in all of our environments now, so will authorising the patch mean it will be downloaded and applied automatically?SOLUS3 issues with applying upgrades or patches on 3.4.118 Patch available
CUSTOMERS AFFECTED: All SOLUS3 customer who have upgraded to the April release of SOLUS3.4.118. Customers who have newly installed SOLUS3.4.118 from the 21st May onwards are not affected.
PROBLEM: Once on SOLUS3.4.118 customer will not be able to upgrade SOLUS3 to a future version (e.g. Autumn 2012) or apply any patches to the User Interface of SOLUS3.
SOLUTION: We have produced a database patch to be applied to SOLUS3 called S3 Hotfix for Target Discovery. This has been authorised to all Local Authorities and SIMS Direct Schools in SOLUS3 and can be applied onto SOLUS 3.4.107 (February 2012) and SOLUS 3.4.118 (April 2012).
Any site who has installed SOLUS3 prior to the 21st of May 2012 will need to apply this patch before upgrading SOLUS3 above 3.4.118
