Hi,
Our timetabler uses NOVA T6 regularly to do timetabling from home, but since SOLUS3, we can't install or update it to the same version as we're running on the network as there isn't an exe anymore. Does anyone know how to go about doing this post SOLUS3?
We've passed the query onto our LEA IMS team, who have passed it onto Capita as they don't know the answer either, but I wondered if anyone had come across the issue and knew what to do about it.
Many thanks in advance

26th April 2012, 02:08 PM #2 Hiya,
Can't you request a copy of the SOLUS 2 setup files - we ask for these each time we do a SOLUS 3 update just in case things go wrong. . . .?
JB.

26th April 2012, 04:00 PM #3 If he already has an older copy he can simply copy the new NT6 from the SNOVA directory and paste it into the relevant directory on his remote machine.
Alternatively it can be set up using the NT Satellite Prog in the setups folder. There is a KB on Supportnet with simple instructions. Even I can follow 'em!
KB31684

Setups folder doesn't get updated with Solus3 so no way to install the latest satellite version from there.
I have noticed within Solus3 there is a filter for NovaT, so might come eventually but no way at the moment as far as I know. :/

We upgraded using Solus3 - for both Spring Releases! The copy of NT6 on this home PC is the current version! So the first part works - i.e. copying the NT6.exe file! 'Cos that's exactly how I did it! Which answers the question that was posed originally!
Not sure about what you say about the second part of the fix! I'll look into that one!

26th April 2012, 09:13 PM #6 That didn't take long.
KB113008 confirms what you say and it will, hopefully, be sorted in the Summer Release, when the Satellite Setup program will upgrade via Solus3.
