Has anyone successfully used this feature of SIMS.net?
I've set up a report which when run, automatically updates a filemaker system with current student data. I have tried to get SIMS.net Schedule Reports to run the report daily before school starts, but it doesn't seem to do what it says on the tin. Any clues? or do I have to wrangle with CommandReporter.exe?

Re: SIMS.net Schedule Reports
much better to use win sched tasks and commandreporter.exe in my opinion. Its easy to use, just a case of entering a login then a report name. If you need help though just gimme a holler as i tend to use it in various scripts.

CommandReporter is the best tool to our disposal (without paying through the nose to Capita) for getting data out of SIMS.
Any report in SIMS (you have to make these) can be exported as CSV or XML. CommandReporter.exe is a comand-line tool that will essentially login to SIMS (with an account provided) and export the given report to a specified file. You can find it at C:\Program Files\SIMS\SIMS .net\CommandReporter.exe. Run it in a command prompt with the /? switch for help.
What you do with the CSV/XML data is down to you.
