Have you set a value for the LANID environmental variable?
Yes SIMS.net works fine. The LANID was added when this was setup
Try changing the System Manager Definitions for that LANID on your server (you have to use the DOS system manager)
What are you trying to access in the launcher module?
That did the job nicely thanks.
The bursar needs access to this for various bits & bobs
I spoke too soon. I can get in now but when clicking on any of the modules i get the messageCicMarshalWndIOF You do not have access to "modulename"
You need to set up access rights in System Manager for DOS for both the user and the workstation:
Launch System Manager for DOS - within Launcher
Go to Path F select the workstation from the list press F3 then Modules Available select the modules you want the workstaion to have access to then save F10.
Go back to the main menu then Path E select the user from the list F3 then select Access Rights and then select the modules you want that user to have access to.
Exit system Manager, exit Launcher, logon to launcher as that user and if you've done everything OK you should now have access to your chosen modules.
This is ok now. I found the "Modules Available" section and added what i wanted. Should have had a look around first!
Cheers for all your help
