    SIMS AV exceptions

Can anyone point me in the direction of what exceptions should be plugged into the AV software on the SIMS server?
I looked at supportnet for the sticky item mentioned by Phil Neal here but nothing seemed applicable (it has been a while), I searched for the article mentioned here but support net seemed to die.
In fact trying to use supportnet has had the usual effect of reducing me to a quivering wreck, rocking back and forth in my chair, strumming my lip and shouting 'wibble!'.

Personally, turn off on access scanning.

Far as SIMS goes, exclude mssql10.sims2008 directory, the docstorage directory and it's normally a good idea to exclude legacy SIMS directory - they normally lock the file when in use and they don't like letting go so the AV can scan it - rarely happens nowadays.

As mentioned in that post exclude the setups folder, as staff shouldn't be writing to that, but it gets read every time sims startsup. So worth putting in an on write / on change rule. You could do that to most of the sims share folders in fact.
I couldn't see the sticky either, but maybe someone like @PhillipHamlyn can advise.
