My attendance office are saying that the predefined report in sims (Reports> Lesson Monitor> Whole Group Reports > Persistent Absence Report) is wrong.
Currently it shows in term two that students with 27+ absences should be PA. They claim it should be 20. I don't usually have anything to do with this side of attendance so don't know what the correct details should be.
Can anyone shed any light on this for me please.

They are right. The SIMS Persistent Absentee report hasn't yet been updated to take into account the new 85% threshold for Persistent Absentees. I highlighted this on Supportnet sometime ago. I believe from discussions there that it is due to be changed with the next upgrade.
Coincidentally I was at an 'Effective Attendance Partnerships' seminar this morning where we were told that the correct figure was 22 sessions at HT2, there is some discussion on this point though!
