I've just learnt that we will be changing at the end of this financial year. Has anyone done this and is there a lot involved?

No idea, no data will be brought across at a guess. So the old FMS will just be for reference. Let us know how it goes as I'd for one be interested in hearing how it goes.

I'm sure they were working on a way to try and get some data exports working so you could take some data. Though you'd probably want to start afresh, and key in the bits you'd want.
