After setting up another SOLUS3 instance, I've just realised that an obvious addition to make things easier would be a browse button to manually navigate to locations like the Binn folder, the DMS server etc.

So long as you can still type it in manually - I can c'n'p faster then I can navigate the browse menu

I'd hope so too! That's the way we're doing it at the moment!

Just thought i'd bump this, is anyone still having issues with machines not upgrading when they come back online? I've not tried the latest April release of S3 to see if it makes any difference but with .107 i am still having this issue, which is a pain when you have laptops off site at the time of upgrade etc

If they're classed as failed, they won't try again until you redeploy. Where they marked as offline when the first deployment went out?

Yeh they were offline when the first deployment went out, i assumed when the users then brought the laptops back in and on the network they would upgrade but that doesnt seem to be the case.

If you can, check HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\PendingFileRenameOperations in the registry, it may need a reboot.

Obviously this causes a massive issue with laptops being taken off site etc. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue or can shed any light on it?
Logged a call with Capita about this problem.

They got back to me and said that this issue had been fixed in SOLUS 3.118.
Not sure if it has as we are waiting for the next round of SIMS updates before we update SOLUS3

Going to be waiting for the next update and we will see.
If not fixed going to poke Capita with the number 3 sized stick.

I've not tried an upgrade via .118 but this release does seem a lot better. We did have issues with past releases when adding a new machine to SIMS workstations in S3 it didnt then install SIMS as it should but this is now working fine in the .118.

Rolling out an upgrade will be the big test, hopefully it will work exactly as it should.
