    Re: SIMS and Office 2007

I've tested SIMS on both Vista and with Office 2007

Works on both - though IIRC there is an issue with O2k7 and some reporting, but didn't see any problems with Vista

Not got any plans to move to Vista, but some staff had expressed an interest in Office 2007

Had some problems with SIMS/FMS after Office 2007 was installed but couldn't pin-point it - and after reinstalling O2k7 - all was well and still is..

We use SIMS.net and Office 2007 and no problems since September to report.

Thanks for the report Sylv3r, I wasn't even going to consider office 2007 until at least SP1 but pressure from above and all that has forced me to upgrade. Good to hear its all working.

    Re: SIMS and Office 2007

Vista, Office 2007 and SIMS August here.

I haven't found any issues with it (although you do need to copy a few DLLs from XP to Vista in order to get System Manager to work); I've run a few reports without issue, certainly into Word 2007, not sure if I've done an Excel 2007 one or not. IIRC, there were issues with some specific modules and Office 2007, but we don't have those modules.

do you use the profiles 7 module though? I think that would cause problems....

No, and now you say that, I remember that is the one which had some problems - don't know if they've been resolved yet or not.

We have supported Vista (as a client) and Office 2007 since August.
