SIMS.net and Acrobat Pro
Hi All
We have installed SIMS.net with Adobe Acrobat Pro. When you attempt to print a school bill you get an error message that says it can't find Adobe Reader.
We don't want to install the Adobe Reader as well as Acrobat Pro as it causes problems.
Anyone know a way around this?
Thanks
Tom

We have the entire Adobe Suite installed including Acrobat Pro with SIMS as well as reader 9. All works fine.
We did have an issue with PDFs opening in Acrobat Pro rather than reader, but I just changed the "Open With" File Association to fix it. Try doing this?
You can command line it Using fileassoc but not sure of the exact command, google file assocaition using command line.

It's when we go to: Focus : Fees Billing : Billing : Reprint Bills

27th August 2011, 12:10 PM #5 I think you just have to have the reader. Some of the installation / upgrade routines check for it too, and complain. The first thing SIMS wants to do after an upgrade is show you a fancy pdf with active components.
What issues are you getting if you have reader and Pro?
