FMS supplier import - blank database
Hi,
Just setup a blank database in FMS 6.140 as a third option in database selector. Everything was going well until I tried to import supplier data from an existing database, apparently I need a licence patch to be applied in order to import supplier details into a blank database ? Has anyone come across this ?
Many thanks for any help anyone can offer ....

Yes, this does require a patch, and I believe this is a chargeable extra from Capita.

23rd August 2011, 03:50 PM #4 Yes, really easy bit of SQL code, but you need to purchase the license. If your supported by your LA, you should contact them. They might have already purchased an LA license, also they'll be able to help set it up. Not an easy thing.
I also have a tool to allow you to edit the suppliers, one of the big thing it does is drop out the suppliers mark as in active - yes, otherwise you'll import supplers that you've marked as in active.

Hi Matt40k, I think we are ok now with the supplier import (although if you have an example of the sql code that may be very useful in the future) - you mention a tool to drop out inactive suppliers - this would be very useful - can I ask please where I can get a copy ? many thanks ....

And I'll send over the link to it once we've received you're order

Thanks Matt, sorry I thought it was something you had written ! Capita have agreed to transfer the suppliers for us next week (sending off the databases) but we would have liked to drop the inactive suppliers beforehand (I will ask them if it's something they can do).

It is something I've written, but I wrote it in work time (unlike TidyBackups) and they're using as part of the service they provide.
I'd be suprised if Capita couldn't take out the inactive suppliers.

27th August 2011, 07:39 PM #11 All work is submitted to SVN, so it's timestamped, don't think they can claim ownership of work I did at 23:47 at night haha
Plus they like us doing open source\charity work
