I have installed a new NIC (Intel Pro 1000 PT Server) with the power managment switched off and still having the issue. Has anyone got any other sugguestions as I am at a lost, at moment.
you mentioned that the clients were laptops. Does the problem occur wired/wireless/both?
We had a problem here with a piece of software not working properly. It was a mismatch of speeds between the core switch and the NIC on the client. The switch was set to 1000 full duplex and the client was set to auto, once we changed the switch to auto, it solved all the problems we were having.
Anything common between your FMS Server/clients, ie - what about the actual network cable connected to your server. Then maybe have a look at your uplinks. You'd be surprised at the troubles a duff network cable can cause.
Thanks to all who offered help advise. I have traced the issue to Group Policy refresh frequency. Now that I have disabled this group policy it has stopped the issue.
