Forced Spell Check in Office 2010

In Office 2010 (on Windows 7 Professional 64bit) - mainly affecting Outlook and Excel - I open files and it starts a forced spellcheck as soon as I type any character. Regardless of how I respond it ends up with "spell check complete" but will not let me continue or exit - just loops back to this message. Only way out is Task Manager to end program but when re-open gives same problem. Rebooting has no effect. Eventually, sometimes after an hour or more, it self corrects and may not happen again for a few hours then "here we go again" ! Have turned off spellcheck both generically and specifically on programs but no effect. Have also uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2010 - that helped for less than 24 hours before it started again. All Windows Updates done - still the same.

    Any ideas ?

    Thanks Guys.

Stupid question, but you sure you don't have F7 stickied etc?

Also tried doing a repair on the install, rathern than reinstalling as that doesn't always clear settings/configs?

Another option, Is try running it as a forced "delete all registry keys" mode, aka winword.exe /a (or excel I guess) If one is corrupt that should autofix it.

Thanks for your suggestions Steve - Sticky Function Key is the obvious that gets forgotten .... unfortunately not this time Repair install was a good idea too but again unfortunately it did not work. Seems I have to reformat etc etc which is a pain - only fear is that Office 2010 may do same again so looks like a downgrade.

Is it just that one machine, i wouldn't downgrade as it works fine for other people.
Is this specifically related to MIS systems in anyway, otherwise it will get a better response in the office / windows forums..
