Proposed changes to SIMS SOLUS require firewall exceptions

Has any one seen the recent posting by Dan Clark on Support Net? The new version of SOLUS will need access to certain IPs permitted on the firewall.

Does this mean the HTTP proxy won't be used any more. Are they going for straight FTP?

Re: Proposed changes to SIMS SOLUS require firewall exceptio

you may need to ensure your firewall does not block the following IP Range or hostnames
SOLUS isn't changing (yet), just the hosting - to increase bandwidth and availability.

From what I've just read, it seams they are just making sure - some sites may not use a proxy.
