    Have you ever questioned the level of knowledge of suppport staff? You probably know far more than they do about CMIS.

    that may be the case but they have one advantage they can put you on hold while they get the solution lol

    As the pleas from SpecialAgent show, experienced MIS admin don't grow on trees. It's not unexpected that software companies get around this problem by taking the scripted call centre approcach to field all the RTFKB questions.
    This will allow the true analysts to deal with the real difficult issues.

    That said school ICT techs probably have the advanatge in being more knowledgeable about MIS issues than MIS support staff are on technical ICT issues.

    Of course, but then once you get into the advanced reporting areas its pretty much do your own thing. Besides I get fed up of being told "it will be put on the development list".
