Importing data from FFT live into CMIS Facility
Has anyone managed to sucessfully import the FFT Live data into Facility?
If so, could you explain the process please as our data manager is having difficulties.
There was a previous thread on here, but it doesn't go into detail of the new live data.
Thanks.

The live data does not automatically go into Facility via the Assessment | Advanced | Read Fischer Data - it used to, but not anymore, as the export from FFT does not match the import routine, even with tweaking the Excel files. Hopefully this will be fixed in version 10.3.
What you can do is create a custom data import routine Options | Data Transfers and you can import whatever column(s) you want into the database.

Yes John,
But it doesn't work correctly :-) And the other posts on there are outdated. We had Serco in the other day and they said it was due to FFT changing the format at last minute and not letting anyone know. They are working on resolving it but didnt have an expected date

Ah right we haven't tried it as we don't put the FFT into Facility mainly due to when it was on CD from the LA it was so out of date and full of errors it was more a joke than real data! We just use the FFT Live site and enter targets into assessment templates manually on Facility now and that does us much better and simpler for staff. HODs and Faculty heads have the full range of FFT Live stuff to view if they need more data than what we give them.
Does sound like Fisher with the last minute changes and not telling anyone though

8th November 2010, 07:51 AM #7 Well after 5 days, I still haven't got all the data correctly into KS4 as the template that Serco provide doesn't actually import their predicted grade!
I think I'm going to suggest John's method of letting the staff enter the grades manually until this is resolved by Serco and FFT. Grrr.
Thanks for your help.

8th November 2010, 08:16 AM #8 My favourite is the reports where they don't bother putting a UPN on and make a simple import task that much more difficult.
