Afternoon all,
Well it's here, the start of the new year and it's hectic!
I need to provide the new staff with training for logging into sims.net etc and don't have time to go and see them.
Has anyone got a quickstart guide that they could share with me to edit and distribute to my new staff members please?
It would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Dan

Logging in is simple, surely, but how far would you want to go with the various modules? Capita has a sort of starts guide but that is not small or simple.

thanks

2nd September 2010, 12:39 PM #4 have you had a look at the Capita Quick guides. We get a box of various guides, laminated, for distribution. They are downloadable though.

2nd September 2010, 12:42 PM #5 There is a QRS Attendance guide. Have you got access to Supportnet?
From the Homepage click Documentaion (on the right) then select Quick reference Sheets in Catagories and search
or PM me your email and I'll send some to you.

2nd September 2010, 12:53 PM #6 I'm pretty sure that QRS are available in the document centre available within SIMS.

Unfortunately it's only a sample:
The following is a sample of available help sheets. For a full list, please visit our SupportNet Home Page,
click the Documentation button, then select Quick Reference Sheets from the Category drop-down list.
It would be nice if they were all available off the server, or at least some basic ones, e.g the how to use lesson monitor rather than just the how to run lesson monitor reports. It would save a lot of time 'reminding' people things they have forgotten after the summer.
I run sessions for all new staff before the start of school, but the existing staff, don't arrive for another week after.
Will you log the change request Phil? I have a feeling it will get acted upon sooner
