7th May 2010, 10:12 AM #1 SIMS: Exams Organiser issue - validation error when deleting component sitting.
We have an issue in exams organiser for a particular seating - we can't delete the component seating for that exam. When we do this:
Fire up Exams Organiser.
Focus > Seating Organiser > Refresh.
Pick "Biology Unit 1 Tier H". (BLY1H) > View/Edit.
When trying to delete the component sitting by hitting the minus sign we get a validation error after confirming.
Any ideas?
(Yes, we have a case open with Capita, but it's been 18 days without any progress, which is an issue for an out-of-forum "we're not very happy with you" communication for more official channels).

7th May 2010, 11:59 AM #2 What exactly is the error message that you are receiving?
I've not heard of anything like this before but I am wondering if any students have been withdrawn from this exam but have not had their seats cancelled?

7th May 2010, 12:03 PM #3 Error (which I forgot to include) is:
[I]Warning: Validation
Seat does not exist.[/I
It only happens with this one session (others are fine).
