    Question command reporter permissions

we think we need some permissions set to use command reporter. Not being a system manager it's best I know what what I'm asking for, when I go ask the business manager for them.

I did manage to get a look at the permissions list and spotted some named

    third party reporting.

I guess these are them but I don't understand the significance of

    view (all)
    edit (all)

    that were inside.

    can someone confirm/explain this please?

I don't think you need third party reporting permissions to use command reporter. Third party reporting actually adds some extra available fields when you come to design a report. As far as I am aware, as long as a user has sufficient permissions to run the report in SIMS, they can also run it from command reporter. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

The third party reporting permissions allow users access to extra columns that would only be useful to somebody writing a third party reporting tool (ID's for aspects etc., you can see them in the XML output of a lot of reports)
