Add to that the big paperclip attachment button in outlook and its a must have upgrade

Seriously though, having auto account setup in outlook for services like gmail, a proper inbox bar chart free space, smaller office files, better ribbon interface (and yes It really is better after a bit of use), sharepoint integration all have their uses.

Save to PDF was a free add on for 2007 as well.

True, but pre SP2 you had to install it separately. It was in office 2007 but Adobe moaned.

Myself, I'm not fussed given that we are sticking with 2007 for the moment.
Sage doesn't support Office 2010 yet (I believe), nor does a ton of other software.

As for the whole Capita support Office 2003 argument, they won't just drop it, if the hardware spec still says Office 2003, your fine for about 3 years. Personally, until Jon Wood says it's being dropped, I wouldn't worry.

Having said that, I wouldn't like to be deploying Office 2003 - however don't mix the environment, aka 2003 and 2007, one or the other!!

Oh and I forgot the pretty pictures of peoples faces you can attach to contacts and emails. I love that feature in 2010

We have been using Office 2010 with Sims since Sep 2010. We have not had an issues with Sims and Office 2010 regarding compatibility, reports extract fine into Office.

I thought for consideration might be uses training as there is a change in menu layout which most staff will need to some getting used to, especially for those who are going to go from 2003 to 2010

We've always put CutePDF on all our images, gives staff the ability to PDF anything then.

Can you make and run a mailmerge report?
Do the late letters work for you?
I#ve heard the latter work on occasion but the former never.

SIMS will not work with Office 2010 in all areas until the spring release.
