Just to throw my tuppence in, has anyone used virtual machine snapshotting?
    can it be scheduled?
we use transaction backups, but i thought snapshotting would be great if you schedule it and then set it to overwrite if possible or clear them out after the nightly back up is done.
currently, we have a full backup nightly, and transactions through the day.
