    Sims DBattach zipping

In the last couple of days one school has started zipping it's SQL backups. This has stopped our backup working. Any ideas anyone?

I have checked the version od DBAttach and upgraded to 7.126.

As from, I think, 7.124 DBAttach is not supposed to zip the backups. This school was running along nicely backing up to a .bak file until 2 or 3 days ago when it started to zip again.

    I upgraded to 7.126 and it is still zipping. I run a script with DBattach (DBATTACH /AUTO /SERVER=nnnn-OFFICE\SIMSSQL /database=simsdatabase /USER=XXX /PASSWORD=XXXXXX /BACKUP)

    I even uninstalled EasyZip.

It won't be dbattach unless they've restored the database. Are they use tidybackups? There is an option with MSSQL, but I though that was only the enterprise edition that could use it. Any reason why them being a zip would break your backup??

    Fresh eyes this morning.

I found out the script was set to backup MSSQL.1 but someone had at some time created MSSQL.2 and didn't delete .1.

Script amended and now creating .bak files.
