I'm currently testing the SQL migration process on a Sims test system. I'm running through Capita's "Migrating SIMS to SQL 2008" user guide and on the "Setup Support Rules" stage, the Performance Counter Registry Hive Consistency fails it's check with the following details:
"The performance counter registry hive is corrupted. To continue, you must repair the performance counter registry hive. For more information, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/300956"
I have tried running through microsofts very confusing KB artical to no avail. Has anyone come accross this and if so, have you found a way to correct it?
