AMD or INTEL for Sims.NET / FMS?

Looking to put Sims.Net / FMS on to a Dell T105 running a Quad Core AMD Opteron™ 1381; 2.5GHz CPU, with 4GB RAM, SAS drives and Windows Server 2008. We only have around 20 users. Good idea or bad?

don't see any reason why that setup should cause any problems. We have a couple of AMD based servers and these cause us no problems at all.

Just going from what I have heard about SIMS (uses SQL) you may want to look at adding a little more ram - maybe 8GB to be safe but that should work fine to the best of my knowlage (which does not include spelling ).

Our SIMS server is an Intel Xeon 1.6GHz with 4GB RAM and that serves 50 users without complaints, so your spec should be more than good enough

Thats easy for us, one school has recently been renamed Knowle DGE. as far as we can tell the DGE doesn't stand for anything.
