Error Running Report - Word cannot start the converter mswrd632.wpc

Just fdor your info. If anyone gets this error message then you need to do this reg fix. It seems to have started since the last MS update.

    For 32-bit versions of Windows
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Applets\Wordpad

For Microsoft Windows on Windows 64 (WOW) mode HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Wordpad

    New DWORD 'AllowConversion' Value 1

    From here

Microsoft Office Word OneNote Support Team Blog : When opening the Word document users are getting error ?Word cannot start the converter mswrd632.wpc? or ?Cannot load Word for Windows 6.0 files?

There are indeed issues caused by the MS Updates.
Phil Neal has commented re. this on SupportNet.
See Thread:- Cannot run word report after Microsoft MS09-073 update (25470)

Jist of it is to remove that MS upgrade from your PC will solve the issue. Needs to be done on all PCs to run Word reports. Done yesterday and works fine now.

    Aww....... Graham!
I wanted to get 'em to go to SupportNet themselves. I am sure many Edugeek Users do use SupportNet but I think that a few do not!
