Document Storage on CMIS
Hi
Does anyone know if its possible to view documents through ePortal that have been saved as PDFs in CMIS? I downloaded some notes on it and followed the instructions but I am unable to see them on the ePortal screen. When I've just looked on the internet for some additional notes I've noticed that there is a document storage add-on. Would I need this to view the documents?
Thanks for your help.

19th November 2009, 05:31 PM #2 We have document storage set up with our CMIS system. As I understand it there is a separate licence [I do seem to recall adding the licence after the commissioning was complete and somehow they omitted the document storage setup]
Do you have the licence key to allow you to use document storage?

I'll have to try and track that down then. If it came with all the info during setup I assume it'll be around somewhere.
Thanks a lot

Hi Donnalouise,
If you are a Birmingham School, Link2ICT will be more than happy to provide any assistance with getting this up and running for you - you should already have the necessary licence key etc.

As all new schools and all existing schools that have renewed their license get document storage as part of the standard package every school now has it. So you can indeed attach documents such as PDFs to pupils records so that they are viewable by teachers/parents/pupils in eportal.

I think the bitlet has been turned off in ePortal, along with a couple of others, so I'll have to look at getting them back up. Thanks for your help though

If you give link2ICT a call we will be able to sort out the bitlets for you, or solve any other issues preventing this from not working as it should.
Also if you need any further assistance we can offer training and consultancy on this and any other area of the software.
