I updated my post with the error message. Is there a seperate log file?
I have this directory created in my sims
C:\Apps\SIMS\1036da3b-b1b4-46ec-9326-8f87f3a591cf
3.61.589 to 3.61.610 Upgrade.zip
is in there but its only 1.8mb
I tried deleting the directory but it just downloaded the same thing again next time I ran solus
This is our sims.ini
Code:SIMSDirectory=\\rgadmin\c$\apps\SIMS SIMSSetupsDirectory=\\rgadmin\c$\apps\SIMS
Shouldn't it be:
SIMSSetupsDirectory=\\rgadmin\c$\apps\SIMS\setups
??
I don't think its a config thing as its always worked in the past.
I can now download a bit more but its failing on another file
Has anyone else been able to download this update from solus recently? Looks like a problem with the webserver to me.
we have done all our schools, downloaded overnight and applied via solus.
It isn't a problem with the webserver. It's the fact your setups directory (as defined in the sims.ini) is empty (of setups files). If you open up the folder \\rgadmin\c$\apps\SIMS there won't be any Setups files, such as simsinst etc. You should, I image, find a folder called Setups. Change SIMSSetupsDirectory= to
SIMSSetupsDirectory= \\rgadmin\c$\apps\SIMS\Setups or \\rgadmin\c$\apps\Setups and it should work. SOLUS won't download a entire setups directory, it's the way Capita stops anyone downloading SIMS, otherwise we'll be having to enter product keys and such.
(PS: Don't stay about it checking the school code, you can change that with a command line switch)
Sorry if it sounds blunt. Hope that helps.
Thanks matt40k for all your help, you were correct.
I just wish Sims would have error messages for this sort of thing.
Downloaded and updated fine as soon as I added the setups directory to the sims.ini file.
