SIMS .net Report Supplier
Morning everybody.
I suspect this is a long shot but someone might know. I've created some reports in SIMS, exported them to a report definition file, everything's fine. I was just wondering how to change the 'Supplier' field on the reports. I notice some reports we have are showing 'CES Reporting Services', so it must be possible for it to be edited, as CES Reporting Services is obviously not a school.
Any info or thoughts would be very well appreciated.
Thanks,
Sam.

17th August 2009, 09:32 AM #2 Hi Sam,
There is a tool on SupportNet that allows you to change the supplier name. It’s in the file sharing area. It allows you to change the name to whatever you like.
Regards,
Ian.

Joking aside, Shuriken, it's well worth posting questions like this on supportnet - almost all active SIMS users have an account there and you are far more likely to get a useful solution to tricky problems... There are some very knowledgeable people there who don't actively post on edugeek! It's also a private forum, so your problems won't show up on google the same day like they do here...

Hi All,
Does anyone know what the file for changing the supplier name is called? I can't find it on the support site, I know this is an old post so maybe it's moved location or perhaps I just don't have access.
Thanks,
Ian

25th August 2012, 12:25 PM #8 Try #231 from October 2005 , It's a download from the file sharing area, so not searchable, but you can flick back through the pages. It's called Reports Manager.
For the most part it's not a great deal of use, as whoever is going to import your report is probably going to want to edit and customise it for the site / location at which point they will clone it and it will lose your Supplier Name anyway.
