    Profiles Data in Reports?

Is it possible to use data entered in profiles (eg. End of Term Reports) in a SIMS report?

I'm trying to find a way to extract all the reports for a class for a single subject without having to go through the reports student by student... e.g. All maths reports for Y9 Set 1 etc...

I have worked out how to do this for assessment data but can't find anyway of getting data out of reports without extracting xml files individually for each student.

    Any ideas?

Suggest placing this question on SupportNet as it is very "SIMS". I think you can create a template for this but could not be sure. If this is for checking there are ways of achieving this for a HoD within Profiles. Sorry I can't be of more use!

Thanks. I asked our SIMS guy and he didn't think there was, but I'm sure there must be a way somehow!

Could you not simply print a class checking sheet?

How do I do that? Is it possible to do it for closed sessions?

I'm not sure you can do it on closed sets but it should be possible from the report entry screen or Senior Manager screen for an open set.

Also have you tried the .net Reporting engine?

To be honest SIMS is all a little new to me, as I used iSAMS at my last school.... I had a look in the entry sceen and can't find anything that does what you suggested (we are on the independent school version of SIMS if that makes a difference)

Is the .NET reporting engine the thing that will allow us to do reports from SIMS in things like Crystal?

I cannot find a way other than extracting it as you say. Canít believe a SIMS issue has defeated me

What is it our mothers used to say? There is no such word as canít...
    I will keep investigating.

Try this - you can add the comment codes as well - but I'm not what else you want!

What is the current status of your session? What format are you looking to export the information in?

I think Class Check sheets might be the what you need, they can be printed in bulk if necessary through Tools | Performance | Profiles | Batch Printing of Class Check Sheets
