    Thank goodness! Someone has the same problem as me!!!!

    Sorry, I'm not rejoicing over the fact you have to go round loads of pcs and re-run SIMSappsetup to get assessment and exams manager working. Just that I have had that problem for about the last 5 upgrades. Capita tell me they have not come across it before and all the stuff they have taken me through hasen't worked.

    Interestingly I have been running upgrades over the network through Remote Desktop and there have never been any failed upgrades, but that might just be the reason why we are getting the 'LoginProcesses' error.

    psydii: where you upgrading through Remote desktop or at the server?

    Yes, I have tried SIMSPerm on workstation giving correct permissions for individual user and for SIMS group in AD.

    I have tried giving full access to local sims folder in program files too. Just doen't work!

    SIMS Server upgraded yesterday by Salford - so far of the dozen PC's ive ran the upgrade on - almost half have failed (again!!) and i had to use a Zip File from a successful upgrade to get the stations upgraded

    So yet again, I will have to spend a week going round all the PC's seeing if they upgrade and those that dont, running the zip file on them

    Ok now getting this LoginProcesses.dll error as described above - with the exams module - of all the modules it had to be this one - with the results due out soon !!

    Gatt - quick fix is to log onto workstation as administrator, rename SIMS.net folder in Program files/sims and re-run 'simsinst' in the setups folder to re-install.

    That should fix it until the next update.

    I have had some new thinking on this: I have been running upgrades remotely from the server with Remote Desktop Connection. I wouldn't have thought that would be anything to do with the loginprocesses error, but just to be sure, next time I will run updates directly on the server. It's the only thing I can think of that could be different to how everybody else does it.

    Any thoughts welcome.

    Tried that no effect..
    Only thing i can do is to start an RDP session to the server and runs the Exams Module from there...

    If you've tried simsperm mentioned above and had no effect re-installing, then dare I say ring the SIMS helpdesk?

    Strange thing is that its only happening on PCs in ONE office
    All other network stuff is fine - but starting to think there is a network problem in the office itself...
