I haven't performed a client install for a while and it seems to of changed. During install now a screen appears with the following options:
Local SIMS directory: C:\Program Files\SIMS\SIMS .net
Shared SIMS Applications Directory: C:\SIMS
I don't remember the C:\SIMS option from before and looking at other stations there isn't a C:\SIMS folder, can/should this be changed to a drive on the server or other location? I really hate it when apps place folders directly in the root of C:\
Thanks.

The shared SIMS folder means your SIMS directory, most likely on the fileserver, so probably something like S:\SIMS. It will be the location where the SIMSCentralServerSetup.exe installs its payload.
