SIMS Dec 08 - DMS

Something to look out for, DMS (Document Management Server). After the Dec release it doesn't appear to away update itself.

One of the new features is in Dec is that you can backup DMS within DBupgrade, if you run dbupgrade /dms then if it comes up with error attached then you'll need to "re"install (update) dms (s:\Setups\SIMSDocumentServerInstaller.exe)

I don't think SOLUS has any way to update the DMS, as I guess it could be anywhere.

Instructions could be clearer, it just says and upgrade must be installed on the DMS.
This needs to be done manually though.

Something for SOLUS3 me things.

I can see why it needs to be done manually, it's ran as a service and there is no "simsload" to check for new versions, you can't get SOLUS (currently) to check it as DMS can be a HTTP service so it could be anywhere (on\off the network).

(I've heard of LEAs providing managed SQL\DMS servers)
