5th November 2008, 09:40 AM #2 try running dmconfig.exe from within program files\sims\sims.net document server\ via the command prompt, that'll tell you exectly what setting s the document server is configured to use, make sure your sims db is setup with the same values.
If they need changing edit SIMSDocumentServer_<servername>.config
you'll need to restart the document server service whenever you make a change.

I know the answer to this one
All you need to do is go into Internet explorer and take the following route.
Tools | Internet Options | Connections tab | LAN settings | in exceptions type:-
127.0.0.1; servername*;
then in sims.net if you go to Tools | Setups | document management server | delete the document management serversa that are there.
then add a new one called say DOCSTORAGE in descriptions for example, use port 8080 and add the computer name to 127.0.0.1 or map it to the server.
