SIMS and Bromcom - Student sets
Hi there,
This is my first post here. I've had a look through the forum but can't find a similar question being asked.
We use SIMS and Bromcom. If I want to output all the sets a student belongs to (not their form) I have to use Nova. I was wondering if there was any way of doing this in SIMS itself. I can see that SIMS has the info by clicking 'Student Curriculum,' (the link used to change their set, etc). But is there a way to output this info from within SIMSalong with all the other info in a marksheet.
Any help would be appreciated.

Then go though it, I think you can "filter" by class code. Which you can, if you tick the box, allow to be changed when you next run it.

Thanks Matt,
I'll next to be on SIMS on Wednesday (I'm on a job share). Do you know if there's a way to intergrate those details into a marksheet? In the same way that you can right click the student name and add the admin-number, date of birth, etc.

20th October 2008, 02:54 PM #4 Sims comes with a built in marksheet feature, I think could be an extra, Go focus, do you see assessment?
It auto pulls the details from the timetable, then each teacher can enter details into the marksheet.

Thanks, Matt,
I'll have a better look on Wednesday or Thursday and post a reply. Just to be clear, I'm putting together a spreadsheet using the SIMS marksheet feature to include details like grade predictions, etc. About eight columns. But to include the student's set I have to get the details from Nova and then match it up in Excel using the Admission number, which is a pain.

20th October 2008, 03:10 PM #6 Pretty sure you can do this within SIMS.
Might be worth dropping Capita\your Local LEA an email to see how this is done.
EDIT:
Look at the Assessment Manager guide within SIMS, Help > Manuals > Other handbooks > Assessment Manager.
Assuming you've got the module. I'm sure Phil can say if Assessment is an extra.

I agree. I'll give them a call and post the solution if I have success.
