As Census has come and is now fading into the darkness until Jan.
How did it go? Get many problems with the Learning Aims? Or were to lucky enough to avoid all the problems?

It's not done yet. WORST CENSUS EVER.
Still 24 pages of errors, Capita no help whatsoever, patches for the patches but they've not been released even though all patches have been released!
We use facility and the software performed fine....
Well once i realised that all the learning aims errors numbers were for last years dataset not the present. So all our errors were data input errors so it was the humans not the machines to blame this time....
Main problem we've had was the learning aims, which I believe the new patches fix. Or you can just add a note
Other was when schools hadn't updated there ethnic codes. And they did it after Census day, so you had to use bulk update and change the effective date.
Can anyone confirm whether the september release has to be installed before census in secondary schools?
Well I've fixed the learning Aims error myself by finding out what each of the patches does, and which ones fix the previous patches that were broken.
Capita did not suggest actually using the patch that would fix the problem, nor has it been released on solus. We were told to fix them manually.
After demanding the patch for the patch and applying it most of the errors have unsurprisingly gone.
Primary school need June, Secondary need August? They don't need Sept.
Capita has released the patches. Your LEA (unless your getting it direct from Capita) needs to release it to you.
Capita did state work arounds. If you didn't apply the patches.
No problems here although I am not responsible for the CENSUS, I would have heard if they were issues.
Many errors here. Part of the process is to reload some of the information from the last census. There were even errors in this - but this had never been picked up. Does anyone ever look at the data? Capita eventually decided a patch was needed for our problems but they sent the wrong one. At the second attempt "most" of the problems disappeared. I just feel that I have wasted an awful lot of time and this must be multiplied hundreds of times around the country.
