Not sure how many on here or using the SIMS webparts, but I have posted this question on the capita support website but have had little response.
Does anybody know if it is possible to protect attendance and markbook data that has already been added to the webparts?
For example our Attendance manager pre populates student absence for holidays, illness etc, but if a teacher chooses the present code whilst clicking on "Mark all as" when doing their register the original mark is overwritten.
This will also be a case if we start giving access to staff to add assessment data they are able to change past figures which will affect overall value-added etc.
I have had a look through all the options and can't find anything, but I was just wondering if they is something obvious I am missing.
Thanks

Not sure about attendance but in Assessment once all the marks are in the Markbook (or column of marks) can be set as complete. This in effect makes them read only.
