Set per-user SIMS connect.ini settings with group policy

I normally just browse and use solutions that other people have posted but this has helped me out a lot so thought I'd post it up.

Details of solution are on my new blog

    thanks.

that looks really interesting as we got our FMS migrated today, and we have two databases one for us and one for a consortium sixth form.
we got a setup with a local fmsconnect.ini for the different users.

i was going to play around with a startup routine, but this could solve the problems so that the settings follow the user around and they are not tied to a machine. they shouldn't really move machines, but the other benefit is that it's one less thing to hard code in when we reinstall the machines.

    cheers
