    IEPWriter alternatives

    Hi all,

We use SIMS .net and have been looking into how SEN is recorded. This has led us on to IEP's and how they are created and recorded. As you are probably aware SIMS is biased towards IEPWriter v3. We have looked at this and while I like the concept and the level of information it contains, I am less than happy with the software itself.

Is anyone aware of any alternatives to IEPWriter? If so, how well do they integrate into SIMS? i.e pulling data from and posting data back to SIMS.

Here are a few to look at:

    IEP Pro from Bluehills.

IEP Complete from The Skills Factory (both primary and KS3 versions).

IEP Includer from Special IT Solutions.

    IEP Manager from Granada Learning.

Thanks for the suggestions. After looking at the commercial software on offer, I have not been asked to look into a diy approach.

The biggest issue that I can see with a diy option is target banks. Does anyone have any information on either Free or Commercial Target banks?
